they could speak,
the rocks of Concannon Vineyard
would tell a tale rich in history. Concannon’s
treasured contributions to winemaking have positioned
it as landmark winery with an enduring commitment
to creating outstanding, award-winning wines.
We
have a history of proud firsts. We were one of the
first wineries to
pioneer Bordeaux and Rhone-styled wines in California.
We are the home of America's first successful Irish
vintner, the world's first Petite Sirah and world-class
wines from our fruitful, rocky soil. As a founding
family of California wines, Concannon created the
hardworking Cabernet Sauvignon Clones 7 and
8, which helped plant much of Napa in the
1970s. Pioneering founder, James Concannon,
began making wine in the Livermore Valley
in 1883. Now, his passion for family and fine
wine is evident in every aspect of Concannon
Vineyard and we’re
fortunate to share it with you today. |
