Harvest 2019

Harvest 2019

We’re happy to say that we’ve completed our 136th harvest here at Concannon Vineyard! The winemaking team at Concannon has welcomed harvest 2019 with open arms. This is the time to celebrate all of our labor and patience during the long growing season, which mother nature has provided us with a very mild summer allowing the brix level to slowly increase producing a great concentration of flavors and balanced acid. With just a few heat spikes in the growing season, we are seeing high quality and just above average yields from the vineyards.

All of our estate harvesting was completed by the end of October and now the weather is cooling off and it’s time for us to finish up on the fermentations. From sunrise to sunset, our vineyard and winemaking teams worked hard and brought in 312 tons for our estate program that consisted of 15 different varieties. It was a great harvest with mild temperatures to allow for optimal hanging time to get the complex flavors we all know and love in the Concannon wines. We can’t wait for you to taste them—cheers!
